Quartett English Patch
Title: Quartett English Localisation Patch
1.1. Why did it take so long for this patch to come out?
A combination of game engine problems and real life.
1.2. Why are some menus still untranslated?
See question 1.1. Out of the untranslated settings, we trust that most players will be able to work out which buttons do what.
1.3. Why are some images still untranslated?
This is something we genuinely wish we could have implemented (at least for the little throwaway lines), but it would have taken more time than we had to find, identify and edit all of these images.
1.4. Does your patch work for the Quartett! demo?
1.5. Does your patch work for both the CD and DVD version of Quartett! ?
Yes. The patch is designed to work with Standard Edition 1.0, which is the version provided on the DVD edition. If you have the CD version, you can easily update to Standard Edition 1.0 using this patch provided by Littlewitch. Some basic instructions for doing this are provided in the readme file.
1.6. Can we use your materials to create a patch of our own?
Maybe. If you are interested in using any of the materials in this patch, please email us with further details.
2.1. Where can I buy Quartett! ?
As Littlewitch has now closed its doors, you can no longer purchase Quartett! directly from them. However, it may still be available from:
(a) online shops which deal in visual novels;
(b) auction sites; and
(c) brick and mortar stores in Japan.
2.2 Does Quartett! run in Windows 7?
Quartett! does not officially support any version of Windows 7. However, it does appear to run reasonably well in both 32bit and 64bit Windows 7 (although we haven't tested this extensively, with or without the patch).
2.3 How many endings are there in this game?
Three, plus one additional epilogue which is unlocked after you've played through all three main scenarios.
2.4 Which heroine is the cutest?
1. The copyright in the bodies of work comprising of the translated English text and code contained within this patch belongs to the translator and programmer respectively.
2. The copyright in the bodies of work comprising of the code, images and original Japanese text contained within this program belongs to Littlewitch / Monochroma Inc.
3. None of the persons above is in any way liable or responsible for any harm whatsoever arising directly or indirectly from the use of this patch.
4. This patch may not be used in the absence of the user's consent to the above condition.
